I have 13 years of teaching experience. I've taught kindergarten, fifth grade, fourth grade, and second-grade. I'm endorsed to teach gifted students, and one of my joys as a teacher is allowing these students to explore their own ways to solve problems. I encourage students to think outside of the box and to utilize their own learning intuition. I love reading, and I believe that it's critical to develop strong reading skills to be successful as a student. I have additional endorsements in reading and English as a second language, and I call on my experience developing the skills to help students improve their literacy skills and develop a love of reading. I understand that the best way to teach students is to work with them using the style that matches their learning style the best. To maximize engagement, I also like to incorporate games and activities into my lessons. I am looking forward to tutoring students in elementary math, essay writing, literature, phonics, ESL, history, government, math, social studies, and study skills. In my free time, I enjoy reading, tennis, and watching international films.
